Discuss your thoughts on today's Test #4. How did you do?
For those of you who volunteered at the LAC, how was your experience? Please remember that you must also submit your 1-page double spaced reflection. If I did not include your name above as a volunteer, please let me know.
The test that I took today was okay. It was okay though I will not be surprise if I get low marks on this test. I should have studied, but I will try and doing better on the next one. I am not too sure if I am suppose to post a little part of my experience at the conference, but I am going to share a little part anyway. During the conference what stood out the most to me is a program some of the people were using to present or to help students learn, a program called Scratch, Emmy and I witness awesomeness going down in that room, unfortunately Emmy left me all alone and did not get to see the rest of the Scratch presentations with me. She had missed out on a lot.
ReplyDeleteClint studying is very important because test grades depend on how long a person studies for them.
DeleteI think it's fine to write some small part of the extra credit experience and then put most of it in our essays.
DeleteI do not think there is a person alive who dislikes extra credit.
DeleteThe extra credit portions are the first ones I fill-in....
DeleteLol. Sorry Clint I left because they weren't paying attention to my time sheets. But yes the ones I did watched were awesome.
DeleteDon't worry man, I didn't study either. But we should start studying hard now. I'm definitely going to study for the next one for sure. I just have to remember when it will be. lol
DeleteJust think positive man. Hopefully, you did good on the test.
DeleteToday's test was a 4 out of 5 for me because some of the parts were very specific. The fill in the blank questions were very difficult because there were 3 blanks in a sentence with only seven or nine words. I had a hard time figuring out what the sentence could be about and what sections the questions were on. I enjoyed the extra credit questions on the test because there was a lot of them. Too bad I could not attend the extra credit opportunity because I had a class those days. I think I got at least a B and at best an -A.
ReplyDeleteThe fill-in-the-blank was super hard. I think because there are no context clues at all.
DeleteI agree. I had a bit of difficulty on the fill-in-the-blanks. By the way, 4 out of 5 in what?
DeleteThe test was pretty hard. I studied. I was so surprised to see "mindset suggestion". I didn't go over that term. It was shorter than the last test though. The bonus questions were abundant. I'm pleased with my overall grade, but of course I'll be happy if I can raise it up before the semester ends.
ReplyDeleteThe extra credit thing was pretty fun. I ate a lot! Every time there was food, you know that I'll be there getting seconds. Well, it's really because we paid 30 dollars! I learned about Hebrew. Tali Ariav is such an interesting person. Socializing was fun for me, especially with classmates, because we don't really talk in class. I also learned about how one of the professors here at UOG incorporates art into her English 110 class. I really related to that, because I'm going to be some sort of graphic art major.
I wish I got to meet Tali Ariav she sounds interesting. The small talks we had were great. Especially the part were I thought you were Korean and said you looked like Mulan. (:
DeleteThat "mindset suggestion" thing threw me off as well. I studied the book but I guess I still wasn't thorough enough.
DeleteSame here! I kind of just guessed on that term
DeleteThe test was fine for me. I had trouble with the fill in the blank section but I am hoping for a B on this test. I am pleased with my grade so far but I will definitely study hard for the final.
ReplyDeleteI think nobody got an A on that test, but it was not as hard as the last one.
DeleteI will study hard for the final too. I'm hoping for at least a C. Just enough to pass.
DeleteThe fill in the blanks section was difficult. I tried not to leave it blank therefore I just guessed on that section. I hope that I guessed it correctly.
DeleteI think we all can agree that the fill in the blank was difficult. I had a hard time with one so I just guessed.
DeleteThe test was pretty good. I actually knew more than I did on the last test. I am not pleased with my grade though. More dissapointed actually. I need to start doing better.
DeleteThe test was easy - except for the fill in the blanks... I didn't get to assume or academically guess because my mind blanked. I'm hoping for a high B.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping for a B also. I like the grade I'm getting for class right now however, I am hoping that I can still raise my grade.
DeleteToday's test was okay. I hope I did we'll! I really liked the quote that was on the front page. Anyways the LAC conference was great. It gave me a chance to get to know my class mates. Through out the whole semester we never really talked to each other, but at the conference that all changed. All the small talks and funny conversations. The presenters were also great. I was inspired by one presenter from story board. They read out awesome poems. All in all it was great experience.
ReplyDeleteI liked the extra credit question that asked us to make our own inspirational quote.
DeleteI liked the quote too. For the extra credit, we had to make our own quote. I did it but I know it isn't anything great. Hopefully I still got points for it.
DeleteI like the quote as well. I liked how we wrote our own inspirational quote.
DeleteIt looks like you all had a great and fun experience at the conference.
DeleteYay for extra credit experiences and chilling with classmates :)
DeleteToday's test wasn't as difficult as the last test we took. However, I am unsure of how I did on it. I studied before hand but it was still difficult. The fill in the blank part was a little too vague to determine what words fit in there. I am just not a good test taker. I study but then I blank out when I'm taking the test. I hope I passed.
ReplyDeleteI try to use test taking skills like using the test to my advantage. This means I read all the other problems and see if they give any other hints for previous questions.
DeleteYes, I tried to do that as well. I think the test was designed to not have any repetitive questions. It would make it too easy.
DeleteI think most of us had a hard time with the fill in the blank part.
DeleteI studied before hand as well, and I also blanked out on some of the questions. It wasn't as difficult as the last test though so I'm hoping for at least a B.
DeleteI absolutely hate it when I blank out during tests.
DeleteI didn't do good on it because I didn't get to study at all throughout the whole weekend.
DeleteToday we took a test and it was alright. Once again, this guy didn't study and was surprised that there was a test today. My results will probably be bad again. Anyway, my favorite part of the test is re-quoting the quote in my own words. That's my favorite part every time there is a test. I also noticed that the last extra credit was the same as the last test.
ReplyDeleteYou should put a reminder on your cellphone so you don't forget again. I like the extra credits also. They help boost my grade up a little.
DeleteThe test was alright, i guess. I studied this time around and I felt pretty confident about the questions I did answer. Although those fill in the blanks were tough, I mean no clues on what it was talking about. Only on the last few fill in the blanks did I answer because it was the one sentence I just kept re-reading while studying. The extra credit seemed really straight forward and was fun to do. I am just hoping for a low A at the least.
ReplyDeleteI was expecting our test to be a lot more difficult than the last test however, I was glad it wasn't as difficult, except for the fill in the blanks section.
DeleteI have to agree with you Koleena. I thought this test would be like the last one we took, but it wasn't. Thank goodness! What a reliever?
DeleteToday's test was alright. I don't think I studied well enough though. I was also expecting it to be more difficult than last tests, but I'm glad it was not. The fill in the blanks were difficult however, I tried my best to answer everything. We were also able to see how we're doing in class and I'm content with my grade. I'm getting a good grade but I want to raise it and get a better grade for my final grade.
ReplyDeleteYou have time to raise it up. I have to do the same.
DeleteYeah, I don't think I did good on the test. Like, at all. But I tried my best to answer it.
DeleteI thought that the test was pretty okay. I didn't have that much time to study because I was at the conference all day Saturday and then Sunday I had family obligations. But all in all, I think I did okay. The LAC conference was a great experience. Some of the presentations were very interesting because I am going into the education field so I can use some of the methods they were talking about. Towards the end, the presenters weren't looking at my time cards so I just put them up briefly. It was a good opportunity and it counted as extra credit so I am happy.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I didn't get to study for the test at all throughout the whole weekend. So, I think I bombed the test.
DeleteThe test in class was okay. I knew more than I did in the last test. Hopefully, I did good on it.
ReplyDeleteI missed the test on this day because this was the day i came back on island...oh well i hope everyone did well.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, you didn't miss a lot of fun :)
DeleteI thought it was a fun experience to be apart of the LA Conference. I got to socialize with my fellow classmates for once. I didn't expect the LA Conference to be really interesting. The presentation that I sat it were really good, but some of them were pretty boring. I personally like two of the presenters that I helped out because they were getting their audience really involved into the presentations.
ReplyDeleteThe test was pretty hard because i did not study as well as the others. I am not expecting a good grade at all.
ReplyDeleteBeing a volunteer was pretty fun. I got to bond with some of our classmates. I wish there were more people that went. We could have had fun. oeace
